The exact charge for your translation will depend on a number of factors, including the complexity of the text and required turnaround time.

As a general guideline, please refer to Part 3, Section 11 of the JVEG (Justizvergütungs- und Entschädigungsgesetz), which states with respect to the translation of legal texts:

”(1) The fee for translation shall be Euro 1.55 for each standard line with 55 characters of written text commenced (basic fee). For texts not provided in electronic form, which cannot be edited, the fee increases to Euro 1.75 for each standard line with 55 characters of written text commenced (increased fee). If, on account of the specific circumstances of the individual case, in particular on account of the frequent use of technical terms, illegibility or urgency ( … ), the basic fee increases to Euro 1.85 and the increased fee to Euro 2.05.”
Proofreading and editing services are charged at an hourly rate.
